Hi Hazelnuts,
If you key the name into Google, there's quite a few articles. (I didn't read them)
It's WEEDIN S HALL Childrens Home, Polmont.
I hope you find what you're looking for.

Hi there, I have heard of Weedinshall, not sure if it's still standing or not. roughly in the same area as the newly opened Grandsable Cemetery
-
I know where the station is - but from there - where about was the children's home?
-
Hi, just spotted tis post, Weedingshall was last used as a residential childrens home 30 years ago. It was then used by social work services as 'day unit' for children who would not attend or follow school rules, in old fashioned terms a list D school. It has recently in the past two years closed altogether although the building still stands. Its on the corner of the grantsable cemetry and salmon inn road junction.

that is fantastic directions - thankyou very much. Just could not find its position at all = that clears it all up for me.
many thanks]

Hi Hazel - I was in Weedingshall childrens home as a child . . I arrived there when I was 6 months old so that was 49 years ago . . you can walk through the woods in Polmont to the house as I remember going with our pocket money to the Sweety shop on a Saturday. Rab

Three of the little dearies broke into my home in the eighties , and trashed it , and stole jewelery belonging to my late wife . They are probably in some prison by now as thats the way they were heading in their lives...… spare the rod and spoil the child.
