Title: ELIZA INGLE of Whittlesey
Post by: Carole Green on Wednesday 27 October 04 09:12 BST (UK)
Am trying to find out when Eliza Ingle, of Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire died.  In the 1901 Census she is shown as aged 62 years.  Have enquired at the local Council offices for details of her burial record.  Not shown apparantly.  Apart from trawling through the 1837 online.com bmd records, how else can I find out when she died?

Hi Carole,

Have you seen this entry from free BMD? I know this is out from the 1901 census and may not be the correct one. Do you have a birth certificate to confirm her age besides the 1901? Hope this may help. Frances

There is a Family History Centre of the LDS Church in Peterborough. They will probably have the GRO indexes available on microfiche. Alternatively the main library will have the same fiches.

These are the same indexes as are on 1837online and it won't cost you! But this is the main way of finding the death, as it's not on Camdex.

The other route would be to check the Whittlesey parish records for her burial.
Good luck
David
