Hello  there LA

this chap is on the NAA site but his record hasnt been digilatised

you will have to click on request a ccopy  and then wait a good six weeks for it to appear

by the records i would hazard a guess and say his dad also fought in the war  he was born in the uk

do you need any info for him  other than this war record annie

Just thought I'd mention - when talking (well PM ing)  to Annie about this family - I believe the two boys on the NAA / nominal roll are the same person. He enlisted in 1941, put his birth date up by 2 years. 6 weeks later someone discovered this as he was discharged. Enlisted again the moment he turned 18 & was killed - just so sad.   :'(   :'(

There also seems to be a younger brother Reginald, who initially tried to enlist at the same time (He would have been 14!). He enlisted for a 2nd time in April 1945 and was discharged 2 years later.

Hello there Trisha

i did wonder at it all and my thoughts were down that track  having seen it recently  with someone else
the father had written a letter to the army abbout it

i di wonder why the boys pcked a date a day apart maybe they were passing themselfs of as twins!!!

but i do think that reginald could be a brother
so hoping annie can get the records

Hi Jenn

I think there was much more checking done in WWII. I had one family person - put his age up for WWI and down for WWII. They kept him in WWI but discharged him in WWII  :)  .

They picked the actual date of the older boy's birthday - probably needed to be able to remember what was said  :)  - I rarely give correct dob on internet when requested - will never be able to remember what I have stated  ;D  ;D

I definitely think these lads were brothers. Annie is going to get a transcript of father Milner's death so hopefully that will list all the children.
