Hi All;
I'm brand new to this forum, so I hope I'm posting in the right place! ::)
I'm hoping somebody out there knows of a William Cattanach Mason (born 1880 - 1881) and a Mary Augusta (nee Swan) Mason (born Sept 28 1881), married March 28 1902 in Edinburgh.
They had a daughter, Hannah Bella McLeod, born July 16 1902, daughter Frances Lillian born Feb 15 1904 and daughter Mary Low born Aug 28 1905. (All born in Edinburgh)
Other children include Albert, Jemima, Jean, Lilian and Olive, but I don't know their birth dates. (I can't find the birth records)
I know they emigrated to Canada when Mary Low was a little girl - so the timeframe should be 1908 - 1912.
That is where the big bad brick wall comes in - I'm trying to find out when they came to Canada - I can't seem to find these people anywhere in the records after 1901. (no birth, marriage or death records) I'm told they sailed directly to Canada, to Montreal Quebec, then settled in Bowmanville Ontario before moving to Longbranch (now part of Downtown Toronto, Ontario.)
Any help would be fantastic.

And the names of the children as follows (but no dates)
Hannah Mason

Francis Mason (female)
Jean Mason
Lillian Isabell Mason
William Mason
Albert Mason
It also says - most incorrectly it seems: that WIlliam & Mary married:
12 Sep 1939 in Long Branch, ON, Canada
I'm going to guess and say this date probably belongs to one of the children.
The source has no contact for whoever posted this tree. I don't even know if it's a family effort, or some kind of "local" study genealogy? But are the death dates news to you ? if so maybe a start!

Hi,
I found where William and wife Mary are buried. There are quite a few mason's buried in the same cemetery. (I am not sure where you are located, but Bowmanville is still quite a small community.)

I'm surprised at how fast you were able to find that information - am I missing something obvious in my searches?
I haven't gone to any of the sites listed yet - I wanted to express my thanks for your interest and help first!
