I am trying to find the birth of Thomas McNab born approx 1840 Scotland...his father is listed as Robert McNab, Gentleman, also born Scotland. His mother isnt listed on the marriage certificate.  >:(  in the 1881/1891/1901 census it just says birthplace..Scotland.
Thomas married in Liverpool to Leonora Warner Clarke in 1872.
Does anyone have him on their census, etc?

In IGI there is a christening date for a Thomas HENDERSON McNab, do you know if he had a middle name?

Father Robert Mother Margaret Henderson.
Two brothers listed, John and William

Thanks Capricorn...I found that one...its the only one that ties in with the approx birthdate. I also found today a marriage between a Robert McNab, Farmer and Margaret McNab( hope they arent related!) in the Register of  Marriages in Edinburgh...1799. I dont know if this is a possibility.
