Title: Merchants Corps - Dublin, IRL

My 3rd great granfather, William Duncan, served in the Merchants Corps of Dublin in the late 1790s. Does anyone have information on the Merchants Corps (aka Linen Hall Corps) of Dublin in the late 1790s?
