Title: DELOOZE, DELUCE & variants - One name study
Post by: Gail69 on Thursday 17 August 06 08:59 BST (UK)
Hi   8)
this is my first time on this site even though I have been doing Family history for a while.  At the moment my main aim is to collect as many people with the surname Delooze, Deluce and other variants together on one tree so if anyone has any information that may help me achieve this please reply to this post.

I suggest that you put your names in the surname interests table and check what is already there.

Click on "your surname interests" below.

You should also consider making an entry on the one name interests board.

Yes, sorry, I got the name wrong.  If you go to "home" and scroll down you will find there are three of them for different alphabetic groups.

Hi Gail and welcome,

The surname interests table is available if you scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Your Surname Interests".  There is a good search engine which will show you if any other members have the same family names listed.

You can also search all previous posts on the site by clicking on the "Search Rootschat" button at the top of the page.

Hope this helps,

Jean

Have you gotten anywhere? If not, you could Loose or Looze or losee. I have Dutch ( Franco Flemish) ancestors with that name. It would not be surprising to drop ( or add) the "de". Just a thought.

Hi
I am trying to find out more about an 'E Delooze' whose medals I have had for a few years.  He served in World War II in Africa and then in France and Germany and stayed in the Army after the war to serve in Malaya.  At the time of Malaya he was in the Royal Army Service Corps.  He is likely to have been born in the period from 1900 to 1927 at a guess.  That is all I have.
Does anyone have any more information on who this could be?
Thanks
Tony
