Title: Pool Cottage
Post by: Caomhanach on Thursday 04 November 04 10:19 GMT (UK)
My father was evacuated to Aberhafesp during WWII. He stayed at Pool Cottage (known for the Fachwen Pool) with Ivor & Veda Thomas.

I know Veda died some years ago and wondered if anybody with local knowledge knows if Ivor is still there.

Any information greatly appreciated.

Hi

Have a look at this site:

It might be an idea to post your query there aswell.  Just a thought!!! ;D

Have you tried checking http://www.192.com/search/.  You can also buy credits which will enable you to search the voter's rolls for 2002 - 2005.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!

You could always ask the County Times  or Shropshire Star for help!! It's the sort of thing local newspapers might like to lead on!

Hi,

Ivor Thomas is still alive but no longer lives in pool cottage due to his great age.

Matt,

Many thanks for the information. Could you possibly tell me where / who he lives with?

I would love to send a card etc., just to let him know we still think about him.

Feel free to email at home on:    markjamesthomas@aol.com

Regards,

Mark.

Jan,

Thanks. Yes, it is good news. I hope he is also in good health.

If I could find his address, that would be great.

Fingers crossed.  ;)

Mark.
