Just to clarify if we can? I think you got a bit muddled in the 1871 notes. Wasn't Mary the mother of Levi and then Levi and Hannah the parents of William born 1841?

You're right, I did get mixed up, and it should be as you say here.

Hi Chris, welcome to Rootschat. This is a very old posting so you are unlikely to get an answer from the opening poster.
I have some Cobbs in my tree, mainly Newark area. If you would like to give some dates for your William and Leslie that would help. There are 5 Leslie Cobbs registered in Nottinghamshire between 1904 and 1932.
