Hi
Can anyone help me to find out about my great grandmother Jane Hilton Goodman born about 1841 St Albans.

Kind regards Chris

Hi Ricky
Goodness that was quick!
Thank you very much for finding them for me.
I am not sure I understand all the different names though?
After Jane Hilton there is Peter I wonder what this means?
Do you think all these children belong to Richard & Sarah
if so it seems strange that they all seem to have another surname tacked onto their name.
Thank you again for finding them for me.
Kind regards
Christine

-
Hi Ricky
Thank you for all that information.
It's brilliant
I know that she married my great grandfather James Bolton
on the 31 Jan 1863 at St Swithins Church Walcot Bath.
She was age 22.
Kind regards Christine

On IGI records Jane Hilton Godman was christened 06/09/1840 St Peters Church St Albans. Parents were Richard Godman and Sarah.
-
Hi Joanna
Thank you very much for finding her bapt it was very kind of you.
I wonder if Hilton was her mother maiden name.
2 of their other children have White and Bailey so this maybe a line I could look into.
Thank you very much you have been a great help.
Kind regards Christine

Hi Joanne
I thought that to begin with but there is no ditto at the end of the name it just say Jane ??? and thats it. plus it is seperated from the other family by a / mark, which normally means another surname in the household.

Hi Ricky
I am confused who is Jane Rottson ???
Is this my Jane?
Sorry this is a stupid thing to ask you as if you would know after all these years.
But you just have more experience at these things than me I as sure.
Could they have had older children and this Jane Rottson is their elder daughters child?
Kind regards Christine
