Title: James Family - St Just-in-Penwith

Hi,  I wonder if anyone out there is a descendant of William JAMES b. abt 1815 Gulval.  He married Elizabeth TREMBATH b. abt 1820 St Just-in-Penwith in 1840 and after living in Zennor with her parents when they first married,  moved back to Bosulval nr Gulval and then on to St Just.  They raised at least 9 children, one of whom was my g grandfather, Joseph b. 1858.  Would love any info on this family please.

Not sure what information you are after. Have you traced the family through the census? We are very fortunate with Cornwall that so much information is available free.

There is some great information available for Gulval, St Just and Zennor. I can see a baptism listed for William James Sep 7 1815 in Gulval, and looks like his parents marriage in 1813  ;) Sure you will find plenty of interest there  ;D

Hi Kris,  Thanks for your reply and the websites.  I shall have a good look later and hopefully get a bit further.  So far I have just looked at Census info.  I am hoping someone out there reading this will be related!

TREMBATH Elizabeth 04.11.1810 at St. just
                  Father/ Edmund  Mother/ Elizabeth
TREMBATH Elizabeth 04.11.1804 at St. Just
                  Father/ Emanuel Mother/ Elizabeth
TREMBATH Eliza 03.08.1816 at Boscaswell St. Just
                  Father/ Jesse  Mother/ Ann Father Light house man
The above Eliza is my family - she married William Thomas 1835

 :D,  Thanks for sending those details re Elizabeth Trembath.  My Elizabeth was the daughter of William & Catherine and in 1840 when Elizabeth married William JAMES they were living at Chykembro, Zennor.
