Hello,
Does anyone have the 1841 census details for the following:
John Cameron bc1781 Civil Parish Kilmallie, Inverness, address Culchenna, Parish no. 506, ED 13.
Also, for John Cameron bc 1781 Civil Parish Kilmallie, Inverness, address Bridge of Nevis. Parish no. 521, ED 2.
Does anyone have these on later census returns too? At some point the family moved to Clackmannan, Dollar.

HI AK
About to post this when Arranroots' post came in!
The John Cameron in Bridge of Nevis is easy enough to find, showing as:
John, 60, Woolen Hand Loom Weaver
Janet, 65
James M., 25, Agri. Labourer
The other John Cameron in FreeCen is to be found under this entry on FreeCen:
CAMERON John 47 Agricultural Labourer born in Argyllshire (Originally Inverness-shire ), census @ Ballchulish&cardgour. No address showing on FreeCen.
However, from another Index, this looks like the same entry as that on FreeCen and also includes an address - Culchenna, Kilmallie, Inverness-shire:
John, 47, agri. lab.
Christian, 45
Ann, 16
Duncan, 14
John, 12
Duncan, 8
Dugald, 3
Jessy, 1
Regards.

Hi AK
I've just realised that the John Cameron in Culchenna that I posted is younger than the one you were looking for. There are actually 7 John Camerons in Culchenna with birth years between 1777-1810. The one fitting better a birth year of 1777-81 I have included below:
John, 60, Agri. lab
Janet, 55
Mary, 70
Alexr, 20
Duncan, 12
Ann MCMILLAN, 22, Fem. Serv.
All showing as born in Inverness-shire.
Regards.

Hello there,
Thank you very much to both for this information.
It is the family on the last census that I am after as John Cameron married Janet Forester. This fits with what I found on Ancestry.
Thanks again.
