Hello, Would you please lookup a family for me in Liverpool. In the 1851 census they were living at
25 Uppermilk Street. The family are as follows.
Laurence Cotter Head 62 Married cotton Porter born Ireland.
Margaret Cotter Wife born Ireland.
Mary Schamburg Daughter married at home born Ireland.
Catherine Schamburg grandaughter age 4 born Liverpool.
John Schamburg 18/12 months.
The husband of Mary was Francis Schamburg mariner born Prussia.
I discoverd that at time of 1851 he was in The Borough Gaol Great Howartd Street.
I would appreciate it if you would look for family in Slaters Index.

I looked up the Cotters in Liverpool and only found the following which do not seem to be yours I am afraid :-\
Edmund Clerk 8 Dublin St
Hannah Beer Retailer 31 St Pauls sq
James Cotter and son Slaters, 36 Park Place.
Although you found them in the census, they do not always all appear in these directories. I have some chimney sweeps in my family which although I knew where they were living they are not there either !
