Hi Peter

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Hya!  Ticker,
Sorry it's been so long since I visited this board, nope, no progress at all, looks like I'm going to have to bring in a professional.
Thanks for asking,
Peter

Have you got Peter/family on any of the Uk census returns?

He's on the 1881 at
71 Church St
Burslem, Stafford, England

If you haven't got the info I'll send it

I'll see if I can trace him on any other with hope of a clue to where in Roscommon he was born

I'm researching O'Briens who moved to Manchester probarom Mayo/Roscommon

I'll wait to hear from you as I don't want to replicate anything you have

Cheers Gill

Gill,
yup, got peters family on census(es?)(ii?) for 1871-81-91 & 1901, nice to see the family grow, especially as eldest son gets wed and has a son of his own.
still don't know what year he came over from ireland though and can't yet find any connection with manchester, will keep your message on file in case anything crops up.
