I know my 2 x great grandfather Josiah Lyon born June 1853 in Skillington married Betsy in March 1875 in Lincolnshire, I have seen a mention of a Betsy Matthews born 1849 Lincs possibly Skillington being the Betsy in question, if anyone can find details of who was the Betsy Josiah married it would be a great help for my family tree.

Hi Grahame
Thanks for your reply. Interesting family the Matthews/Watchorns Betsy and Josiah were cousins as their mothers Elizabeth and Harriett Watchorn were sisters born to John Watchorn and Rhoda Arnsby, another sister Catherine Watchorn married George Matthews brother John.
Regards
Julie
