Actually I've got 3 and their mother who would be .... whatever that is. Any ways, I have FOUND someone. A real person. And still alive. And she says she has done the family back to to 1790. And there's me still stuck at 1830. I wonder if she knows where the family bible went to?
I'm so happy I could burst.
(Thankyou, had to tell someone who might be a tiny bit happy for me too ;D)

Hi gardener,
Congratulations! I know how happy and excited you are and how much time and emotion went into finding this relative. I hope this cousin is going to share family history with you.
The genealogy search is a very rewarding addiction!

Wow!!
I am so glad for you. One of the reasons I started researching my tree was because I wondered what had happened to other branches of the family AND you have someone else is researching your tree!
Just hope I can be so lucky

;D Wow thats brilliant!!!!
I'm so happy for you!!! :D
I've just found a 'could be' relation thats still alive .... I've just got to pluck up the courage to write him a letter and hope he's interested in his families history!
(He could also know the answer as to whether my grandmother's 'Grandparents' and 'Aunt' were actually who they said they were!! As she never knew who her parents were.)

Terrific news Gardener ;D ;D ;D
I can understand your excitment. I'm still up in the clouds after finding great grandma - at long last - under a different name on the 1881 census.
Congrats on a living rellie!

Not if it's a couple of million Dinkey...... ;)

Tough one!!!
Win 2 million on the lottery or break down a major brick wall.
Perhaps that should be a new survey topic.

Just think of all the researchers you could hire for two million quid ::) - Me? I'll take the money ;D

Congrats Gardener: I was lucky enough to find several 2nd cousins and just met a live one with two live brothers in Australia. Of course e-mail him and the great one in Shetland. ;)
Hiring researchers might take some of the fun out of our searching. This has been a great month for me finding more cousins and a GG Uncle who fought in the Riel Rebellion in Canada. As I live in Canada, this connection to history has me all agog. Cheers all and keep searching
