:-[  I thought I knew the city ... but can anyone tell me where the High Church District of Glasgow was (or is)

Just a suggestion - might it be the area around St. Mungo's Cathedral, near the Infirmary?  I've looked at some of the maps on the National Library of Scotland site but they don't help much with area names.

That was my initial thought but everything I have shows that area as "Barony" which is what I've always know it .......  A wedding extract shows the marriage as having taken place in the District of the High Church, Glasgow.

I'm just wondering if it is the cathedral itself ?
