Hi Anna and Jane,
my father and his sister came from Scotland, Dundee. There are lots of Oram's in Scotland, and a fair few from down in the South of England.

Hi Dave, Thanks very much for that, I have quite a few ancestors from Scotland (Borders), one of my greatgrandmothers was born there but unfortunately no connection with my Oram's as yet.

Thanks again

ORUM......my grandfather's sister, Mary Elizabeth Slade married William Henry ORUM in Kensington London in 1902.  The family lived in Lambeth.  1911 Census: The Orum family are living at 88 Southville Wandsworth Road S W. I think William was from Birmingham.
