Title: William Alfred W.H.Jones Born in King Norton 1906
Post by: celia on Tuesday 23 November 04 13:05 GMT (UK)
I found this birth recently and because of the initial's W.H.
when he is already a william. I suspect that this might be one of my G.Grandfathers Nephews or Grandchildren. Havent worked it out yet. William could  have my G.Grandfathers name which went down the family from 1836. I know G.Grandfathers two brothers lived in Kings Norton in 1901. Are any on your tree?

Just in case ......................... my gt gt granny was (just to be different?) an Elizabeth JONES (dau of George) who married James DIX Birmingham 1884 and they lived for a long time at 1 Leighton Road, Moseley - I would suggest from the 1920s perhaps.

Just thought I'd mention it because the address is in the Kings Norton registration district!

I've not really started researching her yet - saving that one for my old age in case it develops into a full time occupation!

Hello  casalguide I am sorry to say i Don't have one single George on my Jones tree. From 1821 to 1901 or Elizabeth's I have lot's of Ann's(Wives) Frederick,  Williams. Josephs & Henry's though ;D with a couple of James thrown in ;)Right down the line.I often think Maybe each generation couldn't think of a name for there New born son .so they they thought " I know about naming him William,or Joseph or Harry or Frederick or Ernest or James. After his cousin/Uncle"  The mind Boggles. For a Jones tree though it's been easy to do. So I'm not complainin ;D
