Title: Thomas and Mary Burke

Hi, All,
Can anyone help me with Thomas Burke born between 1884 and 1886 in Tuam Co Galway.  He married Mary Allen, who I think was born in Tralee between 1887 and 1889.  They married in Whitwick, Leisc in 1916.  Mary's father was Martin Allen born c 1858 in Tralee and her mother, Bridget was born c 1860 in Tralee.  I know of their lives after they came to England but nothing of them prior to that.  Apparently James had a sister Nora who emigrated to America, but that is all I know.

I have a Nora Burke in my family tree. She was born in Ballindine, Galway, (near Tuam) in 1895. She married my Granduncle John Kelly and emigrated to New York in 1922.

Sorry, that was an old post and I have since found that Mary Allen  was born in Leicestershire.

thank you  aghadowey for the response, unfortunately under mothers maiden name there is nothing recorded, ive checked other names around the same time and they wasn't recorded either.

Birth certificate will ALWAYS list the mother's name (unless a foundling) so I'm wondering if you are only looking at the search page (showing search results) and not actual images?

I too have Burkes from Galway who were in Whitwick, Leicestershire area! Wonder if there is any link there?
