Thank you for your quick reply.
I am interested in Samuel Broomhall born circa 1790. He may have a sister Sarah born circa 1805. Samuel was a butcher, so this could give a clue as to his father's occupation.
Samuel shows his age as 50 on the 1841 census, but this perhaps is a "rounded up" age.
Many thanks.

The only reference there is to a Samuel Broomhall in the Penley Parish Registers is as a Parent with his Wife Sarah in 1810 and 1814.Where did you find Samuel in 1841?I couldn't!

Thank you - I also have the baptisms of William and Thomas, Samuel's sons in the years you state and also Mary a daughter.
I found Samuel in Liverpool ref: HO 107 / 558/11 - 1841 census. I believe he and Sarah moved there during the period 1814/1816, I do have conclusive evidence that he is my ancestor, but do not seem able to get any further with Samuel.

I live in Yorkshire so it is frustrating not being in the area.

Samuel and Sarah were married in Ellesmere, Shropshire 25 Aug. 1809. I am also trying to trace Sarah's birth, there is some information on the IGI which may "fit" but will have to try to find more conclusive evidence.

I thought it would be relatively easy to find Samuel, however, I thank you for your help and will continue my search in the Flintshire area.

Thank you once again for you immediate attention to my quest.

I would be grateful if you can locate any/all of the ALLMANS aka (Alman, Almand, Allmand, Halman, Holman and similar) in those registers for me.

Sorry Tony but I can find no instances of any variation of the Allman name that you gave.

There is a Samuel Broomhall, son of William and Eleanor, baptised 1788 in Overton who seems a good candidate.

That's odd. I have an ???? Allman daughter of Thomas and Mary, Bap 27 Dec 1840 Penley.
Possibly Marianne or Mary Ann or even Ann.

I have another 3 later in the decade.

If they're not in the registers, I wonder where I got them from.
