Could someone please look up the marriage of Amy Steer to Richard Green. The family tradition was that they got married on Guernsey. They appear (unmarried) on the 1901 census in London (RG13 1254 F.154 p.6). With Richard as 'head / widow' and Amy as 'monthly nurse/sister in law'. Amy was the sister of Richards recently deceased wife. The other family story is that it was disapproved of to marry your dead sisters husband, so the couple went to Guernsey for the marriage.
The marriage must have taken place soon 1901.
