Trying to sort out a few Franklins, who also baptised a son in Wilshamstead.
Could someone with access to Keysoe transcript kindly check the following FRANKLIN burials for any other detail - I'm hoping a Richard will be mentioned as father/husband
Thomas 26 Apr 1765
John 6 Apr 1772
Elizabeth 30 Jan 1789
And if it's not too late could I also ask for a marriage as well in Keysoe - Richard FRANKLIN and Elizabeth NEWALL on 12 Sept 1759 - was Richard of Wilshamstead?
Many thanks

I'm much obliged Susan. A 50% success rate is better than I usually manage! It would have been nice to have seen "of Wilshamstead" rather than Keysoe on the marriage , but their first son was baptised in Wilshamstead "son of Richard, farmer, of Caysoe" so I think I'm on pretty safe ground.
Thanks again

David,
I take it you have the Keysoe baptisms of the children of Rich & Eliz Franklynn between 1764 & 1788. I have 5 (2 Thomas's) & of course now I see 3 of these fit the burials. The last one in 1788 for Eliz says she was age 16.
Also I noticed on 13 Oct 1758 Hen Newell, K bach married Eliz Wood, K, sp
And to clarify your info on the baptism in Wilstead on 30 May 1760
it states verbatum..
Hen son of Rich & Eliz Franklin of 'Cayso' [? Keysoe or Keysey Farm, Wilstead]

Thanks John, I was pretty confident until you came up with Keysey Farm. Pigeons, among, cat, are all words that spring to mind. The drawing board is in the process of being extracted from among the cases of wine in the garage.
Had to come inside. Sun too hot for April!
Thanks again

OK hello, so you read everything else as well....
Talking of garages ... I've just found a box of 12 Pelforth Brune beer (well there's 9 now) - a good year past it's best buy date - must have brought it back from Leclerc's in August 2005

I try to read all of the posts on Beds Cambs and Hunts. Don't look at any of the other boards as I don't think I can add value. Even with census look up requests a bit of local knowledge, even with just place names, can sometimes make the difference.
My favourite (and closest) supermarket! I'll see if I can find some of a more recent vintage than Aug 2005

Just reread your post - I only have two baptisms in Keysoe - Thomas and Sarah in April 1764 - this must be one of the few Beds parishes which pre 1812 is not complete on the IGI. Do you think you could itemise what you found please - including the 1788 burial of Elizabeth age 16 which is not on the NBI?
Many thanks

David, -- notes just taken out of the bin
Keysoe baptisms , sons & daughters of Rich & Eliz Franklynn
22 APR 1764 Thomas
22 APR 1764 Sarah
12 OCT 1766 Thomas
22 OCT 1769 John

the last one was a baptism not a burial, do you want to read it again !

Thanks very much John - I very nearly amended my post to read, could you scratch about in the bin for your notes!
Sarah and Henry married on the same day in Southill, and the Elizabeth age 16 you found married Richard Thody, who I already have in my tree, in Cardington in 1796 (birthplace Keysoe age 78 in 1851). So it's all coming together very nicely, thanks to you and Susan. And it looks as though Thomas may have married in Cople although he was otp according to the transcript. Named one of his sons Richard too.
Fortunately Leclerc has a later vintage of Pelforth Brune (gentlemen prefer Blondes, so I got a dozen of those as well!) which is awaiting you.
Thanks again
