: Requesting a marriage look-up of Matthew Wall & Mary Heffernan in Co. Waterford sometime in the late 1850's or early 1860's. I believe the oldest sibling was Michael, baptised in Abbeyside parish on 4/4/1863, but no record of their marriage was found there. I e-mailed Dungarvan parish (St. Mary's) several times, but received no reply. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.... Yanks

hello yanks, welcome to roots chat. sorry could'nt find their marriage, i found three births to this couple. MATHEW 25-5-1865. 786, CAPPOQUIN, WATERFORD, IRE.
MARY 1-6-1867. 825,LISMORE, WATERFORD,IRE.
JOHANNA 11-3-1874. 713,PORTLAW,WATERFORD, IRE.
PARENTS. MATHEW WALL & MARY HEFFERNAN.
CIVIL REG.

Mary, thanks for the info on their births. I already knew of them, along with a William born in april,1871, also another Mary born in 1877 (the first Mary died in 1875). There are still 3 other siblings that I didnot find their DOB. Hopefully I'll get lucky and find these siblings along with the marriage info of their parents. Regards, ....Yanks

the third record down is Matthew Wall, but not the correct spouse and the year is way off...1920

There are a few other Heffernan marriages in Modeligo around the same time.

Unfortunately the father's name is not noted so it's difficult to know if they are the same family

Thanks familyroutes for your reply. I only have access to the NLI ( On-Line) modelligo records. Unfortunately, they only have birth records on-line on the NLI site. I guess you have access to the marriage records elsewhere for these Heffernan marriage records ? Is it possible to tell me who were the sponsors at these 3 Heffernan records. Also, the marriage record of a Ellen Heffernan in 1823...parents Michael Heffernan and Joanne Hayes ...I believe there is also a Heffernan birth of a Margaret Heffernan in 1845 but the birth records on the on-line NLI modelligo records start in 1846.
Is it possible to tell me the info ( parents / God parents ) for the 1845 record and also who were the God parents for Ellen's 1823 birth record ? Many thanks, regards, ...Yanks
