Title: Edward Sween(e)y, b.1817, Chester
Post by: FAB Fiona on Wednesday 08 December 04 00:43 GMT (UK)
Hi

I am looking for the birth/christening of Edward Sweeney (or Sweeny), who was born in about 1817 in Chester.  It is not on the IGI although there are a small number of other Sweeney references in Chester at that time.  When he married in Manchester in 1837 he gives his profession as saddler, but he was later a striker in a foundry.

Hi Fiona
The best place to ask would be the Cheshire records office,in the first instance send a email detailing your request to the address on this link

https://www.cheshire.gov.uk/recoff/eshop/copfront.htm

they will reply hopefully with a free lookup.
