These children are baptized in Pitstone.

Would the children baptized in Pitstone be the same family?
and does the parish records say what occupation Father is?

Hello Margaret.

I realise it's an old post but as I've just begun I thought no harm in trying.
Did you manage to have any success with the Rogers family line?

Best regards, Anthony.

Hello Margaret

Thank you for replying. Please be patient with me as I've only begun to delve into this since retiring. I believe your Mary and John to be my direct line [Rogers]. Still trying to confirm as some of the tree sites have managed to confuse a JOHN with JEHU, this could be a long journey. Rogers is not particularly easy as they seem to have been prolific breeders!!!

Regards, Anthony Rogers.

Hi Anthony,
Just to confuse matters, John and Mary had sons called John and Jehu. Often Jehu is transcribed as John. My line is Joseph - another son.  If you want help - let me know and I will try to help you. regards, Margaret

If you want specifics, I have Pitstone & Ivinghoe PR's on CD, from BucksFHS.

Just ask, and keep the request simple, and specific. ;D

Steve. :)

Hi Steve,
If it isn't too much to ask - is there a death for Bridget Ashby (nee Brand) in Pitstone after 1790 in the parish records ?  I have never found a death for Bridget.  Thanks. regards, Margaret

Sorry, no burial in Pitstone for Bridget Ashby.  Only 2 Ashby burials after 1840, both male.

I've checked Ivinghoe and no luck there either. I can see the marriage though.

Being near to the Hertfordshire County line, doesn't help.......as some tend to drift that way.

Have you asked BucksFHS for a burial search. of their burial database.

Steve. :)
