Hi,
does anyone have any idea where i may be able to find info about Marlborough House in Staincliffe. I would like to know who lived there and also when it was built.

Google doesn't reveal anything - not in Staincliffe near Dewsbury  anyway.

Do you have anyone who lived there at a certain time?


It just may help find something more about the property.


Sometimes house names are not always mentioned on Public Recrds so do you have a House number as well?

I've now found Marlborogh House.


This is the present address for it

Marlborough House,
Marlborough Terrace,
Beckett Road,
Dewsbury,

WF13 2DA


I have found it listed in the 1871 and 1881 census and was occupied by a Walker Family and in 1891 it was unoccupied.

Hi.Marlborough house is the entrance at Halifax road.beckett road is at the other end.i beleive there was marlborough house and marlborough terrace,the terrace is now house and a play ground,the marlborough house still remains.if im not mistaken..
