;) Could anyone lookup the Morris name from Rahan/Derrycooley if anyone has the 1901 Census for that area, My Great Grandfather James was born there, and from a huge Family; Father Richard Morris with Brothers Richard and Samuel.
Still finding a brickwall from the mothers side thou :(

Jane Mitchell, a relation of mine, married Richard Morris on 06/02/1873. Their children were:
John born 13/09/1877
Lydia born 1878, who married Thomas Vaux
Francis born 1882, who married John Roe
Samuel 1884
Thomas 1886
Joseph 1887
Richard 1889
I trust this is helpful.
I have a lot on the Mitchells and could probably get more on the Morris's.

Hi John, sorry I hadn't seen I had an email form here just found it. Yes I would be very interested to see what you have on Mitchell / Morris Families. Richard and Jane also had a Son James that is the line I am from but we cannot locate a birth certificate I checked with the records office and they can prove Richard and Jane are his parents but cannot locate a birth certificate either which is very weird. I have the others birth certs and some marriage certs but thank you for the update with Lydia and Francis I don't think I had those. I have found a little more out beings I posted that back in 2007 I just didn't think anyone was looking for the Mitchell's / Morris's.

I noted the baptisms in Liss (Ballycumber) Church. There are two to Richard and Jane - Joseph 20/10/1885 and Richard 1887 91. However, there is a birth of Thomas James on 15/08/1884 to Richard Morris of Derrycooley and ELIZA. Is this a different Richard, is it an error or was Richard misbehaving?

Jon. I've just come on to this site. I'm part of this clan - my mother Kathleen is the daughter of James and Kathleen Morris of Tullamore [both died in the mid '60s]. One of my cousins has chased down some of the Mitchell/Morris connection.

my great great GF James Morris, lisballyard but I suspect is a different James! There are mitchels in birr area!
