Think I found it.  Did IGI search on various spellings.
They were married in 1845.
Elisabeth McAulay
Send me a PM with your email and I'll send you the screen print from SP.

Presume it was the cost of the licence?  It might be worth a separate post on RC asking what it might be.

I've found 3 children on IGI site.

Margaret 16/11/1856 New Monkland
Mary 14/2/61 Bathgate
Robert 18/5/63 Bathgate

Not sure whether that it birth or baptism dates but it should be ebough for you to find them on SP.

Should also give you clues as to where to search for census results.

That's me done now, unless you want any more specific help.

Dave

Picking up where I left off Joe?  Well done.  Wonder where Margaret went in the 1861 census as she would have been 4 years old.  Suggests perhaps she died very young?

Carbonise? Where did that come from?

It would have been either census, birth, marriage, death certificate, possibly Isi. Will look through all the paper work for the henderson’s.

Still puzzling over Carsboni but it does make a bit more sense than Carbonise :)

See my reply #17 above, with maps showing exactly where Kersebonny is.

A carse or kerse is a flat alluvial area near a river.

Other words for similar features are haugh and water-meadow.
