Can some kind person please tell me where and how to apply for a birth certificate.  From the 1891 census for Bath, UK,  Arthur Herbert Brown was aged 9 and born in Greenville. New Jersey.  I want to try and get a copy of his birth certificate, but not sure where to apply for it.  I am presuming he was born circa 1882.

Greenville, New Jersey is located in the county of Hudson.  You can order a vital record from them.  Below is the website for the county clerk.  Click on vital records.  There is a form that can be down loaded requesting the birth record.
