My Mothers Birth Certificate names her mother as Bloomah Hychinka. I have not been able to find out anything about this surname. Can anyone help?

There does not seem to be any such name. Was the birth in the UK? If so it could be useful to see what the GRO Index has. What is the date of birth?

there are lots of Bloomah births & variants

was Hychinka her married name ?

There are 18 people with the forename Bloomah in the 1881 Census, it is probably a variant of Bluma which means Flower in Yiddish. Is Hychinka a Jewish name?

there are no Hychinka births thought perhapsit was Hyacynth or a varaint bu there are none of them either ???

Did you put a similar request searching for this on Jewishgen regarding Esther?  If  so, I may be looking for the same info as my grandmother may have been your aunt.
