Hi Betty Boo,

Yes that's them.

John & Betty were not born in Angus but their children were.
The estimated date of  birth for  John (& Betty too I suspect)  are incorrect

My line is George born 1809.

I have Johns death details giving his place of birth and parents but I am trying to establish Betty's. She appears to have died in the years between the 1841 and 1851 census, hence no certificate.

Isobel lived her married life and died in St Vigeans.
She had her father John with her when he died aged 91.
Hoping I can find some more details of Betty if I find John's burial place.

I have a little more information on some of Georges siblings.
Do you too have information on this family?

With thanks

(from Australia)

Thank you Betty Boo for your interest. :)

I am still hoping to establish if the McDonald /Stuart/ Gordon names appear in the St Vigeans MI's.

I can't see any of the people you mention in the list of monumental inscriptions -  "St. Vigeans Kirkyard", (published in 1997 by the Tay Valley FHS), but many of the stones are noted as illegible or too eroded.

There is a John McDonald, Dishlandton, in the 2001 booklet "St. Vigeans Records - Roll of the male heads of families, being members of the congregation and communicants in the Church of Inverbrothock 1835", (but it is just the name and place with no more detail given).
