Does anyone have access to the above? I am looking for the christenings of Anne, Jane & David Davies between 1858 and 1864, children of Rees Davies & Eleanor Lewis.
-
Did you get a reply to your enquiry about Rees Davies and Elaenor Lewis.
Are you aware that Eleanor as a Lewis of Llanddeusant can trace her lineage back to 350 AD?
-
Wheatman, no I didn't know that. Do you know where it is documented?

Hi,
If you want the christening records of the Davies it will mean a trip to by prior appointment to the vicarage, The Vicar is The Rev. M. P. Wilding
at : The Vicarage,Sennybank,Sennybridge, BRECON. LD3 8PP
Phone 01874 638927
The History of the Lewis family is set out in two books, and I am grateful to others for the info.
from 1745 to 1100 based on the 1500 page manuscript produced by David
Jones Lewis of Gilfach, Llanwrda, in 1845 and updated in 1895, and from 1100 to 345 in the equally substantial tome written by Bartrum, both of these are held by the NLW, Aberystwyth.
Now the easy bit, what is your connection to the Davies'. My interest in them follows from my desire to chase down as many Lewis connections as possible as they are a large and recent part of my paternal family.

Wheatman
Thank you for the information. I am not connected with the Lewis family, I am doing this for a friend who is descended from Rev Owen Lewis.
-
Are we talking of Owen Lewis, born 1788 in Myddfai, one of six children of David Lewis Howells, if so his elder brother, Lewis, is my direct antecendant.
Would your friend be agreeable to you sharing his/her lineage with me, I might hold most of her info on my "tree"
Regards
Roger

Yes, the same Rev Lewis. I will ask.
-
Did your friend say no !!
-
I haven't seen her. Might be after Christmas now as moving house.

I am a direct descendant of rev. Owen Lewis. I'm in process of mapping out his family tree & descaendants. If anyone would like to see the 'work-in-progress', I'll gladly send you the link.

Mei,
I am related to Lewis Lewis, Owen' elder brother, I have some info on other family members and would be delighted to know where you fit in.
Would happily correspond by direct e-mail

Dear Wheatman,
Many thanks for your post.
Quite recently, I completed a 'first draft' of Owen Lewis' family. It is, of course, the first step in a long journey, but at least its a beginning! :)
However, I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts on the "work in progress" thus far.
Here is the link:

All the best,
