Phew! How many Sanders came from Kenton?!
I've been trying to conduct research from Australia (which can be a right pain) and every site I have been to just gives me a snippet of the history I am looking for.
I actually mailed all the Sanders on the North Coast of NSW (I understand that I am related to most of them) and one of them very kindly sent me a written list that was enough to entice but not to explain.
Going backwards I have:
William Sanders b 1823 m Mary Ann Skivings (aka Skimmings)
William Sanders b 1792 m Elizabeth Green
William Sanders b 1760 m Sarah Stark
John Sanders b 1716(?) m Susanna Keswell
Thomas Sanders b 1686 m Martha Bond
Does anyone have anything on this branch of the Kenton Sanders? I can give you lots of information on their B/M/D in Australia - and boy, are there a few of them here!
Would also be interested in finding out whether I am still "have blood" in Kenton.

Do we know how far back the Sanders line goes? I'd like to know whether we made some mark on history - besides ensuring that Kenton will never be devoid of Sanders.

In the 1951 phone book are a lot of Sanders
From the 1901 census Pound Street is a Vet

My brother went to Kenton and Powderham and I shall see whether I can acquire some images from him. Very interested in the Posts and replies.

Hi Trisha, the Lilian M Sanders aged 14 in 1901 was my grandmother. Not sure where she fits into your family tree, but I have just come across this posting and thought I would add to it. June
