Title: Margaret Gilfoile

Looking for any records relating to Margaret Gilfoile who was born in 1838. Father was John Gilfoile. The only info I have is that she was born in Ireland then moved to Hartlepool in England. Any help would be fantastic.

What English records have you got? Some census takers recorded the county and/or parish or townland which makes for a simpler search in Ireland.

Got this info from a census record that I got from a local library. All that was recorded was the Country and no other info. I am sure it was 1881 census though she is listed on here a Margaret Kipling (re-married).

Hi,

There were no Gilfoile in the Griffith Valuation taken 1846 to 1864 in Ireland. I suggest you look for Margaret's birth place in every census in the UK.
