Title: KENYA BIRTHS 1950s
Post by: Che on Sunday 10 February 08 22:58 GMT (UK)
I am trying to trace the birth of a relative who was born in Kenya in the early 1950s to a family of Brits who were living out there at the time.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to trace a birth in Kenya and/or obtain a copy of the birth certificate?

Many thanks

Familysearch.org might, I'm not sure of what years they go up to. I could have a look for you if you wish.

Kind Regards,
Lisa.

Try http://www.familyrelatives.com (pay site, but the overseas indexes are free)

Consular Birth Indices go up to 1965
(unless the family were military, in which case check the Army Birth Indices)

Thanks for this jorose.  I didn't find what I was looking for but it was good to find out about another great free resource!
