We are currently researching my wife's paternal grandmother ancestry. Have discovered her 7th Great Grandparents were James Partidge and Mary Savory who lived in Berkshire England.
Their great grandaughter Letitia Partidge 1793 - 1862 married Silas Noyes 1794 - 1848 in Newbury Berkshire then some time later emigrated to Australia.
The subsequent family then seems to have lived in New South Wales and Victoria.
Would welcome contact / info from any descendants of Silas and Letitia.

Hi C and R - have you traced the family through the BDMs. If you can find some more recent death records (available to 1977 in NSW and 1985 in Victoria) you will find that a death certificate will name children of any marriage. It will also record where the person was buried. A funeral notice will often provide current location of family members and the white pages may allow you to locate same.
This may help you find some descendants quicker than hoping they may see your message (now I have said that a descendant will probably instantly appear ;D )

Hi, James Partridge and Mary Savory are my 8 x great grandparents. Silus Noyes and Letitia Partridge are my 5 x Grandparents and im just about to write all the information up in my notes about them. Im happy to share any thing you may be interested in. Silas Noyes was a Convict who tried for selling brass in 1831 and sentenced to seven years transportation. He was joined later by his wife and children. Silas died in 1848 and Letitia re married a John Barker 19/02/1852. I have a lot to type up on this branch of the tree so anything you would be interested in i am happy to email you once its done.
I have also traced the line back further from James Partridge and Mary Savory.

Silas Noyes came to Australia in 1831 on the Georgiana as a convict, sentenced to 7 years. He is sent to Maitland, NSW to be employed by T. Bloomfield. He is given a ticket of leave in 1835 and then a certificate of freedom in 1839. He has a number of children, including a Silas (born in England in 1822) who also comes to Australia marries Ellen Butler of Clonmel, Ireland (1824-1889). They are married in 1842 in Maitland, NSW. They have nine children of whom one is Henry, born 1854, Sydney NSW (dies 1935) who marries Rebecca Coulehan (1863 Bargo Brush, NSW to 1936 Concord West, NSW). They are married in 1883 in Sydney and have seven children.

Silas Noyes and Letitia Partridge had 7 children of whom George, Eliza, Silas and Hannah Stit married and had family in Australia.
Having now through Rootschat become acquainted with 4 living descendants of Eliza and 1 living descendant of Silas it would be really nice to explore Silas and Letitia’s history further by making contact with other living descendants of any of their children.

I am also directly descended from Silas to Silas to Henry to Thomas to Gwendoline to me. I was also born in Sydney, moved to Queensland (Brisbane) and thence to Melbourne. I have some information although rather less on the second Silas than I would like. Still searching.
