Title: Conveyance: land at Great Canford, Dorset: HOMER, JOY, VINCENT
Post by: ranaridibunda on Thursday 06 March 08 09:58 GMT (UK)
Conveyance for land at Kinson, Great Canford. Names as above. Document dated 1870. Only in mediocre condition (has been attacked by damp I should think, at some point) but legible. Bought as part of a batch of 5 documents, only one of which I actually wanted. Free to suitable home :-)

Hi

This indenture is...

'Conveyance of a piece of land situate at Kinson in the parish of Great Canford in the county of Dorset'. It is between Thomas Alner Homer Esq of Tolpuddle on the one part, Henry Joy of Bournemouth, builder, on the second part and Mr George Vincent, coal dealer of Kinson on the other part. The deed is dated 9th April 1870 and, despite being quite 'windy' only relates to a parcel of land just about an acre in size in Kinson, an allotment perhaps.

If you're interested, let me know.

Cheers
Karen

Hi
My husband's gr gr grandfather was Henry Joy. Henry was a "big wig" in Bournemouth and built many buildings in the town including the Arcade.
If it hasn't already gone to a new home, I would love to have the conveyance.
I would, of course, be prepared to pay any costs incurred.
Thanking you in anticipation of your help
Helen

Dear Helen

I am very sorry but I already gave this indenture away to the above named, 'Davrossa'.  Perhaps you could could contact him re. the contents although I have not heard from him since he asked to have the indenture and so I am only assuming that he received it!

Apologies for the inevitable disappointment - bad timing I'm afraid :-(

Regards
Karen

Hi

Thank you so much for replying so quickly.

What a shame that the document now lives elsewhere - typical !!

Many thanks
Helen

Hi Helen

Just had a private email from davrossa - apparently he did received the indenture and would be happy to make you a copy. I suggest you click on his name in the thread above and contact him. Unfortunately I do not have his private email address any more but I guess you could start a communication above and then go to private messages etc. Good luck.

Best wishes
Karen
