I have Fanny Jones DOB as she was my Gran, and it states that her mothers name was Margaret Jones.

http://www.freebmd.org.uk has near 100% coverage for marriages 1880-1885 and although there are a few matches none are in the Rhyl area. The closest is probably Conway.

There is a possibility in 1884 of an Owen Jones to a Margaret Jones at Trelawnwyd, St Michael  (Marriage Certificate
 Flintshire (Mold) : C20/1/E117)

Hi
It is possible that Owen Jones and Margaret Jones were married in St Asaph. I hope this will help.
