Have you found your John and or Susannah on any Census?I'm finding a John and Susannah Griffiths on the 1851 Census, but it appears they were married before 1841?

Hi again wrjones!
I have Susan Griffiths, head, widow in 1871 census with their
children.
I now have definitely linked their son William , age 25, to the Australian family I introduced myself to a few months ago!
They sent me a family group picture of William Griffiths and Emily Jane
James with their children in Australia!
I am still trying to find a link between my Hannah Griffiths
and John Griffiths family.
Regarding your marriage finding on 1851 census. That date conflicts
obviously with the date I posted just now. Not sure what to think of it!
Could you please post that census information for me?
I am hoping to find John Griffiths, son of Edward Griffiths (born 1783), sibling names.
Perhaps, his father may be listed in the 1841 census living with John??

Hi wrjones
That is definitely our Edward Griffiths, farmer and his family!
Ann Drew's name is seen frequently, sometimes as a servant.
I am inclined to think she may be a relative now. I was sent
a picture from AU two weeks ago, which included Ann in a
family picture!
I wonder if Richard Griffiths could be Edward's brother?
I was very surprised to see that the place of birth changed for John Griffiths from Kerry to Llanfair Waterdine. That may diminish the likelihood of there
maybe being a connection with Hannah Griffiths, born in Minera, Denbighshire!
I was hoping we may find more siblings, such as a brother, Robert Griffiths (Hannah's father)!
I found a wonderful free website for Lydbury North, Shropshire. The Lydbury North Parish records go back to 1700's!
Thank you for your help!
Best regards

There are Baptism entries of a Richard Griffiths(1777) and Edward Griffiths(1780) born in Llanfair Waterdine on the IGI,and they are given as sons of John and Margaret Griffiths. However they come with a "health warning" in that they are submitted entries as opposed to records on the IGI that come from extracted Parish Registers.

Hi wrjones
Thank you for IGI info!
I submitted both John and Edward info on IGI but with no
success. The reason for this was that I used Kerry, Montgomery
as place of birth!

Your opinion please.
I have two 1871 census records for Susan 55 head widow, farmer of 40 acres.
All names listed, ages and place of birth match except for Susan Griffiths, age 55, birth place.
1871 Census - Llanfair Waterdine - (Reg. District Knighton)
place of birth for Susan is Radnorshire (RG10/5595/61/9)
1871 Census - Parish of Llanfaire Waterdine
Susan's place of birth Montgomery, Kerry (ancestry.com original census image)
Where was Susan, family servant, place of birth in 1841 census?
Thank you

Well all the 1841 Census stated was that she was not born in Shropshire.I strongly favour the one born in Kerry Montgomeryshire, and I wouldn't worry too much about the few years difference in the Birthyears. You have to remember that in those days, people didn't celebrate their Birthdays as we do now!
