William Lewis, born c.1830 St Harmon, Radnorshire.

On the 1881 census he was at Llanguinider, Brecon. RG11/5463/102/39
William Lewis, HD, M, 50, Shepherd, St Harmon, Radnorshire
Mary Lewis, WI, M, 45, born Nantmel, Radnorshire
Magaretta J Lewis, DA, 16, domestic, born Nantmel
Emily M Lewis, DA, 6, scholar, b. Dukestown, Brecknck
Alfred C Lewis, SO, 1, Gellygaer, Glamorgan.

On the 1891 & 1901 his wife's name is recorded as Rebecca

Can someone please help locate William Lewis on the 1871 and 1861 census.

he is living in the household of thomas-elizabeth rowland thomas is a armer.

morgan lewis age 6. b. st.harmon. son.
john lewis age 4. b. ditto. son.
eliza lewis age 2. b. ditto. daughter.
thoms lewis age 11mnths. b. ditto. son.
william lewis age 23. b. itto. occ. farm labourer.  servant.
thomas williams age 13. b. ditto. occ. farm labourer. servant.
margaret hamer age 11. b. ditto. occ. house servant.
living at ;clas,radnorhire.

p.s. there is another william lewis born in st.harmon in the 1851 census
he is aged 20 and is lodging in montgomeryhire. he is a lead miner
so think the one posted is probably the better bet.

again in 1841 in st.harmon there are two possibilities
1841
HO107/1458/4/4/2.
william lewis age 13. b. in county. occ. male servant.
cannot make out if he is living alone or in the household of edward and mary price.
address; st.harmon,radnorshire.
could SKS have a look and give their opinion on whether he is living alone


here is the other one in 1841
HO107/1458/4/7/8.
john lewis ge 50. occ. agr.lab.
jane lewis age 50.
margaret lewis age 15.
elizabeth lewis age 11.
william lewis age 10.
sarah lewis age 7.
hannah lewis age 5.
living at st.harmon,radnorshire.
all except jane lewis born in county.
