I have a Mary Hopwood born 1843 married to an Edward Jones, then she marries John Williams Cymmu in 1875. Mary was from Treuddyn and her parents where John and Dorothy Hopwood. John died 21 March 1864 aged 57 and Dorothy died 1881 aged 74 both are in the Treuddyn chuchyard. there is also a Thomas Hopwood and his family as you enter the chuch gate opposite the farm these I believe are John's brother and family. Any information on this family would be gratefully accepted their marrage Dorothy's maiden name anything Thanks Norma

In my tree I have a John Hopwood b. 1780 m. 1802 Margaret Hughes b. 1778. Data not definate - I got it from "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" - you can check them out at www.familysearch.org.

This John Hopwood is the father of John Hopwood born 1807 who married Dorothy Jones 1834 ( not sure if this is right date might be a little early ) they had a daughter Mary born 1843 who married an Edward Jones who died in 1874. Mary then married a John Williams in 1875 they had a daughter Arabella born 1876 then they had my grandfather in 1878. John and Dorothy are buried in Treuddyn churchyard. John 1864 and Dorothy 1881. Where John and Mary are buried I have yet to find out. John Hopwood who was born 1780 has a father Richard and Elizabeth as a possible mothers name still have't checked this out. Norma
