Hello there I am trying trace back through my family to put together a family tree for my new son. I am new to this and so not exactly sure of what is needed but I am trying to find details of the Lamb family (my paternal grandmother). Her name was Honour Stella Lamb and she had 5 siblings I think (all female), I have no birth details but assume it would have been around 1920 +/-?? She died in Abroath in December 2000. Any further information would be greatly appreciated
Thankyou
Andrea

Hi Andrea,
I don't know if this will help but what you really need is your fathers birth certificate. Was your father born in Scotland?, if so his birth certificate it would give you the names of both your grandparents (which you will already know) but it will also give the date your grandparents married and from this marriage certificate her age which would give you a better idea of when and where she was born.
With a name like Honour Stella Lamb you shouldn't have any problem finding her birth, just be glad her surname wasn't Smith!!
added later!!! Sorry I should also have said the death cetificate of Honour Stella Lamb would also give you her marriage date.

Hi again Andrea,
I have just searched Scotlands People and there isn't a birth in Scotland between 1855 and 2006 for a Honour Stella Lamb, are you sure she was born in Scotland?? What was her married name if Lamb was her maiden name?.
