Would it be possible for someone to look up my Grandad on the 1911 census for Co.Wexford. My Grandad's name was John Burke and in 1911 he would be about 3, his father was Patrick Burke aged 31 (farm labourer) and his mother was Maggie/Margaret aged 30 they lived in Mounthoward Co.Wexford in 1908 where my Grandad was born so I presume that they would of stayed in the same area. I have only recently found this out and as Patrick & Maggie were married at Boolavogue in 1900 I would of thought that he would of had siblings who I know nothing about. I can return the favour for any census look ups in the UK. I know this is a long shot but having just found my GG Grandparents I am excited to find out more. My GGrandmothers maiden name was Mythen if that helps.
Another mystery is how my Grandad who comes from an isolated area of Ireland gets to the South Coast of the UK and meets and marries my Granmother, its a miricle that Im here at all !!!
Thanks

Dublin is already online. Antrim, Down and Kerry are supposed to come sometime in October. Don't think there's a date set for Wexford yet but keep checking here:

Hi Steve,
It's beyond me why the replies to your post refer to the online census. If I'm reading Mags post, dated 25th March last year, correctly you can order the 1911 Census on microfilm at your local LDS library. http://tinyurl.com/3w2xm6

Hi Christopher
I have just done a bit of digging and it appears that my local LDS Library is either Portsmouth or Aldershot in Hampshire so thanks very much for the info. I will try and order the film as soon as I can

Thngs may have changed now but there was a time a few years ago when 1911 Census was not available through LDS libraries in U.K. so you might want to ring first to check what the situation is now.

Hi
I think we're related. Your john Burke is my mothers younger brother. If you're still searching your ancestries please reply here.
Thanks

Hi sorry Delders77 for the late reply but have been away. Still very much researching the Burke family, John Burke known as Jack was my grand father. Is your mother Maggie (b1909) or Mary(b1925) as I have been over to Ireland a few times and met family and have several photo's so would be very interested to know who you are and what info you have, cheers Steve
