Hello,
Looking for anyone interested in the Streeter's of Rotherfield.
I go from John Streeter born about 1735 to my great grandfather Alfred Streeter born 1884 who came to Newfoundland in 1907 after serving in The Royal Navy.
I haven't been able to find much information on his siblings. His parents were Alfred Streeter and Rhoda Upton.
Thank you.

see the latter
two three wickens children were on the census as wickens boys but in the index as streeters
although i cannot find Sawyer anywhere :-\
now as the actual Streeter children were with the family in 1901 and the surname (and forenames) is quite popular its difficult to find them after this time as the 1911 census is unavailbe due to the 100 year rule
after 1911 mmn. were included in the index but we are anable to ascertain who they married if indeed they did marry betwixt 1901-1911
and Mary Rhoda she just seems to dissappear

Hi Toni,
Thank you very much for replying and for the information passed on.
This is my great grandfather's family.
He left at 16 and jioned the navy.
I know that my grandfathr visited England in the 50's and met his Uncle Henry, but we have never known anything about his Alfred's sisters.
Thank you again.

Hi Jeff,
John Streeter c1735 is on my tree too. My line is through his son Thomas Streeter (1768-1829) and Mary Reed (c1770-1830).

Hi, Kilmartin
I also go through Thomas Streeter and Mary Reed.
My line is,
Thomas Streeter (1804) and Phoebe Card
Thomas Streeter (1830) and Mary Barry
Alfred Streeter (1860) and Rhoda Upton
Alfred and Rhoda had Alfred 1884, my great grandfather and Albert 1886, Rhoda 1889 and Charity 1895.
As my great grandfather came to Newfoundland at a young age we know very little about his siblings. In fact we know nothing what so ever about his sisters.
What is your line in the Streeter name?
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
My husbands line goes through Philadelphia Streeter (1798-1837), the sister of Thomas Streeter (1804) who married Phoebe Card. Philadelphia Streeter married John Wilson in 1819 and had 9 children christened at Rotherfield. After the death of Philadelphia, John Wilson (occ builder/carpenter) moved his family to London (Lewisham) where they appear in the 1841 census.
As far as I know Thomas Streeter and Mary Reed had 4 other children in addition to Thomas (c1804-1882) and Philadelphia (1798-1837). These were Samuel (c1802-1822), George (c1806-1808), James (1811-?) and Mary (1816-?).
Sorry I can't help with your Alfred's sisters.

Well, isn't that interesting!
Just alittle while ago I was trying to figure out where John wilson came from and what ever happened to him.
I do have children for John and Philadelphia but I was never able to get much info on John and now I know why.
I would be very interested in what you have on him and would be glad to share what I have on the Streeter's.
Thank you.
