Would like to view 1881 census of 105 Stockwell Street Lanark.GRO Ref Vol 644-7 En Dst 8 Page 3
I believe the people who were living there may be relatives of my ancestors.
Living there were:
Thomas Sandford M 27 Glasgow Lanark
Boarder Actor Comedian.
Clara Sandford M 27 F England Wife
Boarder Actress Comedienne
Christina Sandford 4 F England Boarder (Daur)

I am searching for James Sandford born approx 1844 married in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne 1869.
Occupation Comedian. His father was James McClay Sandford Occupation Solicitor.
There is a possibility he may have been related to Thomas Sandford ( both had same occupations)
Any help appreciated.

I have relatives who lived at 117 stockwell street in Glasgow, in 1868. John Miller and mary Cooke. Mary's father, James was musician and I had hoped to find them in the 1871 census but no joy. Any ideas? They were married on 6 Oct 1868 at 38 Carnavron Street, Glasgow

It looks as though these addresses were frequented by professional people e.g. actors, comedians, musicians, etc. You may be wise to post a lookup request for your people in relevant census dates , giving information of names , ages, profession, also where they were born, where you think they were living. This is all I can think of.

Just in case you happen to see this - some years on! 1881 Census: 105 Stockwell Street, Glasgow. My ancestors Mr and Mrs Cooper (violinist/singer) seem to have been staying there at the time of Mr Cooper's death in January 1881 (though he actually died at 220 Hope Street which I think is the Theatre Royal. This seems to bear out comments that this address/area was lived in by musicians and entertainers.

Stockwell Street just round from where the panoptican theatre in argyle Street is which opened in 1857. It is now a charitable trust so wonder if any records of your ancestors playing there
