Hello, Jean,
I'm researching a Ward family from Staffordshire.
Have two brothers, Thomas Ward and John Ward who emigrated to the United States in the early 1870's.
Thomas born April 1833, married Margaret (surname unknown)
John Ward born Nov 29, 1835, married Sarah Howe.
There may be additional brothers named George and Richard but have no information on them.
Look forward to hearing from you if you can connect this information to your Ward family of Staffordshire.
Best Wishes,
Shirley

Hi Jean,
I too have been tracing the Wards. The family I stem are from Round Oak Dudley area, not sure where they originally came from as I am having a little difficulty linking the recent generations to the older one's, But believe my Wards come from James (1853) & Mary (1853) Listed as living in Halesowen Rd in 1881 and Pedmore Road in 1901

Hello Jean, I am researching the Hiron family of Naunton Beauchamp Worcs. Mary Hiron married Thomas Staunton in 1737.
Mary and Thomas had settled in the North and Middle Littleton by 1738 when their daughter Sarah was born. I have found that most of the Hiron/s of worcs are related, How far can you go back.

Hi!!
Nice to see someone else interested in this family. My Gt grandfather (not gt gt as I said above)was Jesse's brother James. Have you managed to trace this family at all? I'm not having much luck lol.
-
Hi
Probably an incredible coincidence but I found out today that my ancestor Charles Oliver married 'Ann Hirons Ward' in 1827.
She was born in Bow Lane, Eastcheap, City of London in c1800. I have not found out anything about her family origins.

Hi
I've got a marriage in my tree that might be relevant:
23.3.1816 Halesowen MFM346p110e329
Thomas Harper B
Hannah Hyron S
banns witness Benjamin & Elizabeth Tayler m 25.10.1804 Belbroughton (nee Iron) bap 21.7.1799 Feckenham ...............................................................................mother Mary
Ann/Hannah said she was born Clent - I imagine witness Elizabeth was a relative with maiden name Iron ........so many variations on a name!

I'm interested in the Hyrons in Wollescote.
My great grandad, George Dunn, lived with Joseph and Cecilia Hyrons in 1891. He's listed as a visitor in the 1891 census. I was hoping someone could tell me their connection. I'm finding that side of my family very hard to track.
