Seeking baptism date /location for Catherine Mcall Bannatyne, parents James and Isabella, in 1888/89. She is shown on 1891 census as aged 2, living in Kilmory and in 1901, aged 12.
Bannatyne family seem to have been in Kilmory for generations but I havent been able to find this particular baptism. Thanks

It looks as though there are two Catherine Bannatyne baptisms in 1888/89 (on Scotlands people) but I wasnt able to access the details today. They would appear to be in Argyll rather than Bute so may not be the correct family. Did not have this at time of original posting.

Do you mean birth certificate (official reg.) rather than baptism?

The marriage of James Bannatyne and wife Isabella Hill is registered as Kilmory ARGYLL in 1887. Likely daughter Catherine's birth may be registered the same way with the 1888 birth of a Catherine Bannatyne in Kilmory ARGYLL (ref. 554/00 0019). There is another birth that year in the same place for a Catherine Curri...Ballantyne.
Neil's birth in 1890 may be registered in the same way, as having taken place in Kilmory ARGYLL ( ref.554/00 0031)

Hi taylorwallace, I have been researching the Arran Bannatynes for some years. You are probably not all that intertested in Catherine Bannatyne's ancestry, but, if you are, let me know. Or, if you've been able to trace her father James' ancestry back beyond Peter Bannatyne & Catherine Shaw, I'd be very interested. Cheers Peter

I have been trying to find something out about one of my great great grandmothers, Mary Bannatyne, born on Arran around 1823. She married James Crawford born on Arran in about 1819. Do you know these people or their antecedants etc? Would love to find out more.

Thanks for your enquiry but I don't have or need any more information on this particular line at present.
