Title: Carlow town
Post by: Jack2227 on Sunday 23 November 08 22:22 GMT (UK)
Carlow town family roots includes a 1901 & 1911 census record (short version) 1936 Electors list.
If anyone wishes for a lookup of this book I will undertake same, please just allow a few days before I post answers on this thread,
Jack

Hello Jack.  I have just come across your post which mentions 1936 Electors list.  Most of my family are in Wexford Town, but Gt.uncle Thomas O'Rourke,    escaped to Carlow.  I  found that he had a turf accountants shop, 51 Dublin Street in 1928.  Is it still possible to look him up in the Electoral Roll.  I think they lived over the shop.  Anne

Could I too take up this offer please if its still going :D

My family names from Carlow are;
CUMMINS

Although my direct line left 1864 there are probably still some of the other family members there 1901/1911.

Cheers,
Trish
