Yes only whilst using GR. It happens regularly and is very annoying of course. Colin

Any particular pages ?   I'm currently perusing the community boards, and it seems fine here (albeit a little slow, which is normal for a wet Sunday morning).

Surely it can't be just us two? It can happen at any time as well. After a few seconds or after an hour or two.

When I get any of the ancestry type of sites freezing, I usually find that re-booting my router solves the problem, especially if it is running very hot.

Thanks but I don't think its any problem with the temperature inside or out!

I had the freezing problem with GR yesterday morning. I got started OK and then it just froze.  It  usually happened within a few minutes of starting. Late last evening it was Ok.

I run Vista if this has any relevance.

By way of an experiment thought I'd try some other page - froze as soon as I did!!

Must be a sign - I'd better go and be domestic then

Yes, I have been unable to get beyond the Home Page for the last few weeks. I cannot use Contact Us either!!! And my membership is upto date AND I have used the site many times before with no problem. It feels like I am locked out
Each time I try to use, say, 1911 Census I get the message "Web Page cannot be found" with sub message " HTTP 400 Bad Request"

Can anyone suggest a way out of this?     Gordon

G R keeps sending me un-wanted emails. All because I canceled my membership. As far as I’m concerned there on my black list.  >:(

I think Vista is the problem. We have had endless problems with all sorts of sites and software/hardware since we went on to Vista.
